Secure Your Personal Information

At CleverIdiot, our customer’s security comes first. In order to ensure the protection of our customers’ sensitive information, we advise our customers to follow these guidelines:
- Be skeptical of requests for account numbers, social security numbers, credit card numbers, or any other sensitive personal information. Never share sensitive personal information with anyone you do not know, especially if you suspect fraud.
- Do not reply to unexpected emails, telephone calls or text messages asking you for personal information. If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of an email, please do not click on any links in that email.
- Never share your log-in credentials with anyone.
- Change your password every 90 days.
- Avoid reusing the same password for multiple Web sites.
- Use complex characters (including a combination of letters, numbers and special characters).
- Choose a password that may be difficult for others to guess.
- Does not contain your name, the company name, or a simple word or word combination that can be easily decrypted by a dictionary program.
- Does not contain simple sequences or combinations such as 00000 or 12345.
- Never use “password” as your password.
- Contains lower and upper case letters, numbers and special characters such as $, #, *.
- Is at least 8 characters long.
- These guidelines apply to your account password. Though it’s not required, we strongly advise that you choose a password using the points we have covered above.
- Install recommended security and software updates for your computer or device.
- Routinely review security settings on your computer or device to maximize your protection.
- Look for a secure connection before sending personal information over the internet. To confirm that your connection is secure, look for a locked padlock icon or the letters “https” in the address bar of your web browser.
- Always log out when you are finished using a Web site.
